How our hotel came to be ...
| 1905 | Purchase of the first Mutterberg lodge and pasture (from a total of 3) and the first cattle brought up by Alois Hofer |
| 1922 | House fire (started by a ski tourer) |
| 1923 | Rebuilding of the lodge |
| 1927 | Purchase of an additional Mutterberg lodge by Franz Hofer |
| 1960 | (up to this year the lodge was only used for cattle) Transfer to Hermann Hofer |
| 1971 | Inn built by Riki and Hermann Hofer |
| 1973 | Building and opening of the Stubai Glacier Lift Completion of the first section of building and opening of the hotel with 16 beds |
| 1978 | Expansion to 35 beds Swimming pool and sauna built on |
| 1980/81 | Enlargement to 120 beds and conversion of the dining room and the hotel hall |
| 1986 | Opening of the Aparthotel Mutterberg by associates (today’s Haus 2) |
| 1990 | Aparthotel Mutterberg taken over by Riki and Hermann Hofer |
| 2001 | Conversion and modernisation of the Wellness area |
| 2005 | Transfer of the hotel to son Horst Hofer (4th generation) |
| 2006 | Major reconstruction of the après-ski area, kitchen, restaurant, dining room and hotel hall |
| 2007 | Partner Verena Maierbrugger runs the Hotel Mutterberg alongside Horst Hofer |
| 2008 | The hotel is open from October to May (winter season) |
| 2011 | Son Marcel Hofer born on 13th January 2011 |
